Trioceros quadricornis - A small Kammerflage Kreations side project:
Owning a quad is literally owning a dragon. Growing up, along with the panthers, quadricornis was my absolute favorite species of chameleon. A couple years ago, when I had the chance to work with them once again, there was no way that I could pass the opportunity up. They are the most incredible creatures, SO rewarding to keep, and with quads no longer being imported, the need to establish strong captive bred colonies is great. There are some amazing breeders focusing on this wonderful species, and I feel so fortunate to be part of the effort, even in such a small way.
I personally keep my quads very similarly to how we keep our panthers. They come from a cooler climate, and do not tolerate extreme heat, so any potential quad keeper should make sure that they are able to maintain comfortable ambient room temps. They also enjoy water, A LOT, and while I always recommend investing in a good misting system, this is one that almost requires it.
